NYC Regional Rail - Proposals and Ideas

We can all agree on the fact that certain aspects of our Regional Rail Network (I.e. LIRR< MNRR and NJT) need to be upgraded or improved on BIG TIME. So here's a simple but interesting idea, and anyone can expand off of it if you wish to.

All City Zone LIRR and Metro North Stations should be under a fare zone of $2.75. There are many people who live in subway deserts within the city and the bus is not always a reliable option for them. What if we treated our commuter rail services like Rapid Transit once they entered the vicinity of the 5 (well rather, 4) boroughs?
